Terms of Service for Professional Clean
Welcome to Professional Clean! We’re delighted you’ve chosen our services, which include, but are not limited to, the technologies and functions offered on our website, related sites, applications, customer service team, cleaners, and third-party vendors. Collectively, we refer to these as the “Services.”
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the rules governing our relationship with you. While we’ve aimed to simplify the language, some sections may resemble a traditional contract. This is because these Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Professional Clean. Please read them carefully.
1. Authority By using our Services, you confirm that:
- You can enter into a legally binding contract with Professional Clean.
- You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
- You are authorized to accept these Terms on behalf of any business or entity you represent.
2. Services
A. Scope of Services Professional Clean agrees to provide Services as per your booking, and you agree to pay the quoted price, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
B. Cleaning Supplies and Equipment We provide environmentally friendly supplies and most cleaning equipment. We do not supply vacuums, conventional mops and buckets, step stools, toilet brushes, or specialty cleaning products unless otherwise agreed. You may provide your own items for use, clearly marked with instructions. Access to running water, power, and parking is required for our cleaners to perform Services.
C. Great Clean Guarantee If you’re not satisfied with a clean, you may request a free reclean within 48 hours of the original service. Recleans must be scheduled and completed within 72 hours of the request. Our Guarantee does not cover services:
- Outside of our standard checklist
- Free or previous recleans
- Post-construction, move-out, or biohazard conditions Repeated reclean requests may void eligibility for the Guarantee.
D. Safety Our staff are background-checked, insured, and professionally trained. To maintain safety, you agree to:
- Inform us of fragile items and secure valuables
- Notify us of pets and ensure they are contained
- Remove hazardous or biohazardous materials
- Avoid requesting furniture lifting or moving If safety is compromised, our team may leave, and cancellation policies will apply.
E. Cancellation Policy Cancellations must be made by 3 PM NZT the day before the appointment. Late cancellations incur:
- $45 fee for standard cleans
- 50% of the quoted fee for specialty cleans Recurring appointments must be canceled individually. Alternate terms in written agreements override this policy.
F. Damages Notify us of any damage within 48 hours of service completion by emailing info@professionalclean.co.nz or calling 0800 786 780. Include photos and repair estimates. Do not arrange repairs without our consent (unless urgent). Professional Clean reserves the right to choose repair professionals and coordinate repairs. We are not liable for damage to heavily stained or deteriorated surfaces.
G. Pricing and Discounts Prices and discounts may change at any time. Existing bookings maintain their rate unless modified. Notice of pricing changes will be sent via email. Prices may vary for extremely dirty properties or public holiday bookings. All prices are visible before booking.
G.1 Payment Process Payments are processed securely through a third-party gateway. Your card may be pre-authorized before service. Full payment is taken upon service completion. Insufficient funds may result in additional fees. International transaction fees may apply and can be refunded upon request to info@professionalclean.co.nz.
G.2 Payment Security We use encrypted gateways to protect your data. While we take precautions, we are not liable for security breaches beyond our control.
G.3 Direct Debit Authorization By selecting direct debit, you authorize us to collect payment from your nominated bank account on the due date. You will receive at least 14 days’ notice before changes. A dishonor fee may apply for failed payments. You may cancel direct debit with 10 business days’ written notice. Disputes must be raised within 30 days.
H. Dispute Resolution Report service issues to info@professionalclean.co.nz within 24 hours and provide photo evidence. Resolution may take 5–7 business days and may involve a partial refund or reclean.
I. Theft Insurance We advise clients to carry their own theft insurance. Our policy does not cover theft or poor workmanship.
3. Cleaner Solicitation and Employment Hiring or soliciting our cleaners (current or within the past 24 months) directly may result in a $1500 referral fee. Sharing contact info or arranging unreported services violates our policy. Illegal employment practices will be reported to authorities.
4. Account Rules
- Only one account per user
- Do not create a new account if we disable your old one
- Keep your password secure Violating these rules may result in account termination and removal of credits or discounts.
5. Use of Electronic Services We grant you a limited license to use our website, app, and related digital services. You may not modify, copy, sell, or reverse engineer our technology or branding without our written consent.
6. User Content and Feedback By submitting reviews, content, or suggestions, you grant us a license to use them without compensation.
7. Privacy and Security Please review our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal data. Contact info@professionalclean.co.nz for privacy-related concerns.
8. Mobile and Data Charges You are responsible for any charges from your service provider for using our digital Services.
9. Third-Party Services We are not responsible for content or services offered by third parties. Use them at your own risk.
10. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Professional Clean from any claims arising from your use of our Services or violation of these Terms.
11. Disclaimers Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content will be accurate or error-free.
12. Limitation of Liability We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Services.
13. Severability If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain valid.
14. Additional Terms Certain services may come with additional terms. These will take precedence over any conflicting general Terms.
